Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you love the opportunity to pilot new ways of working?

Find out why joining us could be the best decision you make this year!

Welcome to Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust – Endoscopy Service.

As the Associate Chief Operating Officer for the Clinical Support Services Division which includes the Endoscopy Service, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Endoscopy Department.

I joined the Trust a year ago and since joining I have been impressed by the professionalism and compassionate care provided by the Endoscopy team. Staff are dedicated to providing the best service and take time to explain all aspects of the proposed diagnostic procedure to every patient. Due to the personalised service provided, patients are able to discuss their concerns well in advance of their procedure. The service receives letters praising staff on a regular basis.

The Endoscopy Units at both Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby and Scunthorpe General Hospital are JAG accredited. Clinical and non-clinical staff work collaboratively to maintain accreditation and we would like you to join this dynamic service if you are looking for a new challenge and are ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute towards making the service even better than it is now.

We have two exciting posts available; in addition to being good at undertaking endoscopic procedures, both post-holders will also enjoy teaching junior Non-Medical Endoscopists. As our Lead Specialist your experience in undertaking audits will play a key role in maintaining the quality standards required in JAG accredited units, and as our Senior Specialist you will be responsible in ensuring clinical excellence is maintained within the service.

Northern Lincolnshire is a beautiful part of the country with picturesque villages dotted around the towns of Grimsby and Scunthorpe. Property prices are reasonable and the county has excellent schools. This part of the country is a hidden gem and I am sure you will love living here if you decide to join us.

I look forward to receiving your application and welcome informal conversations with those interested.

The Area

The North Lincolnshire district is a mixed industrial and rural community. In addition to the main centres of Grimsby and Scunthorpe the area has many picturesque market towns and villages, including Brigg and Barton which are small market towns concerned with light industries and agriculture. The remaining population is in a mainly farming rural area which extends into the attractive Ancholme Valley and the gently sloping hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, which have been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, with extensive beaches along the coastal strip. These make North Lincolnshire the ideal destination for walkers and cyclists.

Educational facilities in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole, and the surrounding area of Lincolnshire, are of a high standard. The house prices in the area are amongst the lowest in the UK. There is a wealth of cultural and sporting activities in the district suitable for most needs. This includes a marina at South Ferriby for sailing in the Humber Estuary, and a number of well-regarded golf clubs.
