Are you looking for a start to meaningful career within the NHS that will allow you to earn whilst you learn? The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS FT apprenticeship programme could be for you.

Our Apprenticeship programme will focus on both your academic and professional development over the course your 13 month apprenticeship. You will be working in establishment teams who will contribute directly or indirectly to quality, patient focused care.

You can expect monthly reviews with both your line manager and your assessor to check in with your progress throughout the apprenticeship programme. This will provide you with the support that you need to aid your development. In between your monthly reviews you will be working closely with your mentor who will support you in your department on a day to day basis.

The Trust apprenticeship programme is also supported by the Trust apprentice network which is held on a monthly basis. Here you will come together with your fellow apprentices across the Trust to discuss your experience and focus on your development as a group.

Apprenticeship Recruitment

The apprenticeship programme will provide an ideal start for individuals looking to build a meaningful career within the NHS. The Trust apprenticeship programme is subject to statutory terms and conditions inclusive of a progress pay structure over a 13 month period which is subject to a 6 month and 9 month review. Candidates must pass the first three months of their apprenticeship in order to access the following 10 months of the programme.

There are eligibility criteria for government funded apprenticeship schemes that apply and therefore applicants must be aged 16 or above, have been resident in the UK/EU for the last 3 years, must not possess a Degree, Level 4 qualification or above, Full Level 2 or above Diploma in Business Administration or already be in any form of formal government-funded education.

Eligible applicants will be invited to a two day assessment centre. Following the successful completion of the assessment process candidates will then be required to undertake a 30 hour work based assessment, candidates will then be entered into our apprentice talent pool. Candidates in the talent pool will then be invited to apply for apprenticeship vacancies across the Trust as they become available. Entrance into the talent pool does not constitute employment but rather eligibility to apply for apprenticeship vacancies.

Apprenticeship contracts are subject to both academic and professional progress throughout the agreed apprenticeship framework.
