Community Nurse Opportunities – Join Us
Are you looking for a change in your nursing career? Perhaps you are already a community nurse who is looking to join a new work family or seeking to further develop your career? Or maybe you are a registered nurse who just wants to do something different?
A role within our Community Nursing not only represents an opportunity to make a real difference to the healthcare of our patients, but also provides a rewarding and fulfilling career and promises the opportunity to gain skills that would not normally be available to you in other settings.
We believe that caring for patients is not just a job – it is a passion, a calling and a deep sense of knowing you want to make a difference. Working with patients in their own home is a privilege that is only afforded to those working within a community setting. It provides an opportunity to spend quality time with patients doing what you love best, whilst also building long term relationships with family members who have welcomed you in their homes to provide that additional holistic support to those who need it most. Many of our patients have complex needs, so you will often be working in a challenging environment where you can truly thrive.
We are immensely proud of the work we do; and in recognition of our dedication we proudly became finalists for the prestigious Community Provider of the Year Award in 2020 demonstrating our ability to adapt our services during the Covid pandemic.
We provide a wide range of excellent services, serving adult patients with complex needs in a variety of settings. We are particularly proud of our palliative and end of life care, enabling patients and those important to them to be supported in their own homes.
When joining us you are safe in the knowledge that your potential is our passion and we are happy to invest in your career development and currently offer excellent development and career progression opportunities. In addition, we are also part of the National Safe Working Groups to ensure that our work is aligned nationally.
Better still, making sure you feel valued and supported in your role is our top priority; we recognise that delivering excellent patient care within a community setting starts with staff who feel valued, engaged and respected.
So, if you are looking to join an amazing work family, gain new skills and competencies that would not normally be available to you in other settings and work with a level of autonomy that offers both challenge and reward, then we want to hear from you.
We are committed to recruiting the best people – so you can deliver the best community care.

The Area
The North Lincolnshire district is a mixed industrial and rural community. In addition to the main centres of Grimsby and Scunthorpe the area has many picturesque market towns and villages, including Brigg and Barton which are small market towns concerned with light industries and agriculture. The remaining population is in a mainly farming rural area which extends into the attractive Ancholme Valley and the gently sloping hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, which have been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, with extensive beaches along the coastal strip. These make North Lincolnshire the ideal destination for walkers and cyclists.
Educational facilities in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole, and the surrounding area of Lincolnshire, are of a high standard. The house prices in the area are amongst the lowest in the UK. There is a wealth of cultural and sporting activities in the district suitable for most needs. This includes a marina at South Ferriby for sailing in the Humber Estuary, and a number of well-regarded golf clubs.
